The oil specification Porsche C40 is a Mid SAPS (Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulfur) level formulation in order to be compatible with modern PORSCHE exhaust gas after treatment systems like catalytic converters and particulate filters. Porsche C40 specification requires extreme high shear resistance from the oil film. This norm applies to some selected recent PORSCHE Gasoline engines from 2018. The formulation based on Synthese-Technologie of MOTUL Specific C40 5W-40 provides a high thermal stability and insures an exceptional resistance at high temperatures. It also prevents from varnish and sludge to maintain engine cleanliness, lowers the risk of piston ring sticking and provides maximum protection and performance for the lubricant preserved even in the most severe conditions. Low volatility for a reduced oil consumption and outstanding oxidation resistance of the oil to ensure extended oil drain intervals set by Porsche.
